Senior Python Data Engineer

About the role:

The Prospecting team at AdRoll is seeking a Python Data Engineer to build out a new, innovative data product. You will work closely with a small team of data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to implement both backend and user-facing features for Prospecting. Prospecting is powered by a novel data infrastructure based on AWS Spot Instances, Docker, and a number of different languages. • Write high quality, maintainable code as a senior member of the Prospecting team

• Use Python to develop new data processing tasks, metrics, and reports

• Help operating our highly-available data infrastructure

• Help developing a high-profile, innovative product that will revolutionize the way how businesses of all sizes acquire new customers based on massive amount of data and machine learning

• 4+ years experience with Python, either in research or startup/corporate environments

• Strong fundamentals: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Experience with deploying code in production in Linux environments

Bonus Points:

• Experience with other languages such as C, OCaml, Erlang, Haskell, or Lua

• Experience with Data Science and/or Big Data

• Interest in deployment automation and scalable infrastructure. (AdRoll is a big user of AWS!)

• Contributions to the open source community, involvement in tech meetups or conferences.

• A good sense of design, direction, and humor.
