Summary
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Representative (Rep) is responsible for maximizing business opportunities in targeted physician/ practitioner offices and select MS Center accounts. Business relationships will be focused on increasing education on product benefits/risks consistent with approved label, developing new business, maximizing resource utilization, and increasing sales and market share aimed at achieving sales plan for the assigned MS product portfolio. The Rep will also focus on building and maintaining successful, compliant working relationships with our promotional partner.
Responsibilities
Until FDA approval, the MS Rep is prohibited from discussing product with external customers. Pre-approval responsibilities will include Disease State Awareness training and profiling HCPs and Account personnel using approved questions to further AbbVie’s understanding of our customers and the MS market. Post FDA approval, the MS Rep will be required to: * Develop product strategies to increase sales volume and market share through effective territory management and crisp sales execution. * Develop an annual business plan with goals and objectives to increase sales volume and market share in assigned geography utilizing approved materials and messages in line with the FDA approved indication. Routinely works with District Manager to identify local opportunities and challenges and develop/modify business plans accordingly. Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address. * Analyze market dynamics and utilize available information to ensure that every opportunity to meet/exceed sales goals is maximized. * Appropriately and effectively implement available resources to drive sales with key customers. * Provide appropriate presentations and sponsor numerous approved programs to expand the knowledge of health care professionals. * Partner with corresponding AbbVie in-field teams to maximize territory and District performance. * Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers in order to maximize access and sales opportunities. * Develop a platform of clinical excellence and consistently enhance clinical knowledge. Identify and utilize appropriate clinical support as appropriate. * Complete all AbbVie required training and maintain adherence to all company policies and OEC/Legal procedures. * An essential requirement of your position is to meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases. * Represent AbbVie as a partner of choice in the Multiple Sclerosis space.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree * Consistent Top Performer * 3 years Pharmaceutical Sales experience * History of successful sales performance and collaborative skills * Able to demonstrate strong account management skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills **Preferred:** * MS, Neuroscience, and/or Specialty pharma experience with high level performance * Experience operating in a Specialty Pharmacy Provider environment * Co-promotion experience * Understands key market segments and drivers (i.e. providers, payors, integrated delivery networks, distributors, specialty pharmacy, policy makers, etc) * Pharmaceutical launch experience with training, marketing, sales, or other roles
