This position drives purchasing and the Steel Commercial Office of Pricing Excellence (SCOPE) initiatives; will be responsible for pricing, strategy and analytics. Participates in maintaining and updating pricing tools and provides analytical and market data to support buying and quoting decisions. Also responsible for providing key analytical project work include but not limited to supply chain analysis, strategy development, and/or forecasting analysis.
Responsibilities
* Reporting & managing key metrics (inventory, pricing, market data, supplier scorecards, etc.) * Tracking, analyzing & managing Extras and Surcharges * Market Sensing Support * Actively evaluate extras and various other costs (total costs consideration) * Develop & maintain supplier scorecard process (quality, cost, delivery, etc.) * Inventory management from a purchasing perspective (inventory progression) * Effectively communicate to the Purchasing management team and other appropriate functional areas key insights (price levels, contract durations, quantities, etc.) * Review SCOPE dash board and participate in BU’s regional meetings calls * Perform commercial analysis as needed (Post contract and lost quote review) * Implement and maintain Electronic Price Book * Participate in IBM data review and individual customer profitability and opportunities for improvement (ex. D-customer reviews, low margin items)

**Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities** * Analytical capability and aptitude * Detail Oriented * Ability to handle high volumes in a timely manner * Professional, mature work attitude * Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint) with advance capability * Flexible and adaptable to change * Results Driven: self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on time and with little supervision * Ability to perform moderate to complex assessments * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Tableau experience preferred **Education / Training Required** * Bachelors of Science in Business Administration preferred
