Licensed Retail Supervisor

We are seeking an outgoing, friendly, customer oriented person for the role of Retail Supervisor (RS). The RS will drive retail sales through selling, training, developing and leading associates to “Super Serve” our Customers by utilizing the Company’s Running the Sales Floor – ‘Heads Up’ selling strategies. Retail Supervisor’s will supervise overall performance and operation of the store in the absence of the General Manager following established procedures and use of sound judgment. Licensed Retail Supervisors must have a State Optician’s License.

* Set example and lead retail sales by determining customer wants and needs and selling to exceed their expectations. * Maximize productivity through implementation of scheduling efficiency. * Under the guidance of the general manager, support location associates to succesfully execute their specific responsibilities by providing the tools, benchmarks, resources, ideals, education and training. * Along with general manager, support framework of policies and procedures, through a complete understanding of handbook, company policies and collective bargaining agreement. * Provide continuous quality improvement by giving and observing a thorough dispense with each customer to ensure the eyewear fits properly and is optically correct; and reinforcing “Super Serving” our customer and customer value. (Appropriate State Licensure/Permits must be in place for dispensing) * Perform final inspection, as necessary * Perform all opening and closing procedures to include bank deposits, cash on hand verification, payroll processing, opening SDS system, and signing and filing all required reports. * Enforce cash handling policies and procedures as outlined. * Assist General Manager in analyzing and make adjustments to control expenses and maximize store profitability. * Maintain appropriate supply and product inventory levels for location. * Administer merchandising and display programs. * Diligently maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and the overall facility on a daily basis. * As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

* High School Diploma or Equivalent * 1 - 5 years management experience * Retail Management or Sales Management experience Preferred * For Licensed Retail Supervisor: associate must meet current New York State Licensing requirements to practice * For Non-Licensed Retail Supervisor: ABO certification is required within two years of accepting the role of Retail Supervisor
