About Trumaker
Trumaker is a new kind of men's apparel brand providing an upgraded product and experience through a distributed workforce of Outfitters. Outfitters provide a local personalized experience where they provide style guidance, collect customer measurements, and preferences - making re-ordering online simple without concern for fit.
Summary
As the VP of Sales, you'll have the opportunity to build an industry-defining sales culture that is at the heart of defining our brand experience. You'll be right at home if you have a passion for both the customer experience and the sales (Outfitter) experience. We are looking to build an organization that is skilled at consultative selling and providing great follow-up service, but also one that is exceptional at prospecting and building a clientele. We sell directly to customers but employ many of the same sales tactics as a B2B sales model to generate customers. We are venture backed by a great group of investors, including Javelin Venture Partners, RRE Ventures, Venrock, and Point Judith Capital.
Responsibilities
* Work to evolve and adapt the model and team to provide the best possible opportunity to our Outfitters and experience for our customers. * Recruit, develop and lead a talented team that will drive the growth of Trumaker in their respective markets. * Shape the development of the sales model, building teams / capabilities as needed to support the rapid growth of our model. * Work cross-functionally to facilitate effective support, marketing, and product efforts. * Develop and iterate compensation and incentives that drive the right behaviors in the field and build a sustainable economic model for the company and our Outfitters. * Build relationships: identify, retain, and develop talent within the company. * Define the tenets of our service-oriented sales culture and drive its promotion at every level on your team.
Ideal Candidate
* Has built large teams and scalable programs that drive effective growth * Knows how to work with a distributed field team and create results when they aren't sitting next to you * Is not beyond providing day-to-day management and coaching at the tactical level to both the field managers and sales leaders * Knows numbers and makes data (and people) driven decisions * Likes to test, iterate, hack and borrow ideas from the competition to help us get to greatness faster * Is good around a sales CRM and knows how to get everyone using it * Is passionate about the details that create delight in any product or experience * Is a source of positive energy and communicates productively with both the field and HQ teams * Evangelizes the product and experience and inspires people to strive for higher performance * Brings disciplined prioritization and focus * Cares about building something great more than just building a career
