Summary
This position has overall responsibility and accountable for supporting the DC’s/FC’s to achieve quality, security, safety and operational goals. Through the use of lean principles via auditing and guiding the operations teams, the Operations Excellence Manager will be tasked with creating an environment of continuous improvement by effectively tying in the needs of the production / operating environment into the quality aspects of consistently delivering flawless execution. This is a leadership role inside the GRC Supply Chain and will be expected to understand all aspects of the operation.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the design, development and compliance of consistent standard operating procedures. * Develop and support the execution of business standards, lean programs, and continuous improvement activities within the DC/FC operations. * Ensures compliance with current or newly created DC/FC operational execution, safety and inventory integrity policies. * Implementing standard operating procedures to enhance and/or sustain established standards. * Developing and influencing training modules for all DC/FC team members on standard operating procedures relative to quality, inventory, security and safety compliance across all areas. * Accountable for delivering inventory accuracy and operational execution through the use of internal operational audits, reports/analysis, cycle counts audits, root cause analysis and resolution that promotes and/or improves operational execution. * Planning and managing DC/FC health check audits along with regular facility self-audits. Responsible for the timely resolution to all discrepancies in SOP’s with established business objectives. * Leader in DC/FC operations to deliver essential objectives and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of International SC. * Collaborates with team members in supporting other business operations. Including business communication in resolving DC/FC issues. * Responsible for process or procedural changes necessary for continuous improvements related to DC/FC operational efficiencies, safety, inventory accuracy, quality or enhancing overall customer service. * Direct responsibility for relationships with DC/FC and GRC.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field and/or equivalent work experience. * A minimum of five years management experience. * Previous distribution center experience a plus.
