Gourmet Food Sales Associate

The Chefs' Warehouse is a specialty food distributor that began sourcing products for high-end chefs over 30 years ago. With locations in major metropolitan areas across the United States and Canada, The Chefs' Warehouse serves the finest restaurants, hotels, caterers and gourmet stores in North America.

Sells products to restaurants and caterers, hotels and retail, establishments or individuals at place of business by performing the following duties.

* Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources. * Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, build business, and product placements. * Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features. * Quotes prices and credit terms. * Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities up to date. * Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database. * Develops and maintains relationships with customer contacts. * Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries. * Grows sales territory in accordance with expectations and budget.

* Degree Preferred * Three to five years of outside sales experience or culinary experience (preferred) * Food and sales experience * High Energy and enthusiastic * Aggressive/Assertive/Professional * Works well independently
