Summary

We're seeking a passionate Software Engineer for our Pontiac, Michigan to design, develop and install embedded automotive solutions. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.

Responsibilities

Execute full Automotive SPICE lifecycle software development
Write well designed, testable, efficient code
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Develop software unit test plans, and software detailed design description
Document and maintain software functionality
Comply with industry standards such as MISRA and ISO-26262

Ideal Candidate

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Proven work experience in embedded software engineering
Hands on experience in designing real-time applications in C or C++
Knowledge of software version control and issue management software
Ability to develop software in C or C++ and use a scripting language
Experience in developing embedded applications using at least one popular toolchain (Wind River, Workbench, Green Hills MULTI, Freescale Code Warrior, Xilinix SDX)
Experience with automated software unit testing, software integration testing, or static analysis tools
Mastery in software engineering tools
Working knowledge of automotive communications protocols such as CAN, LIN, SPI and I2C
Ability to document requirements and specifications using DOORS, Excel or Word
Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes
