Automation Developer

Spot Trading LLC is a technology-driven proprietary trading firm based in Chicago’s financial district. Founded in 1999, the firm has grown to be a leading liquidity provider and market-maker for the U.S. exchange-listed equity options markets.

- Create detailed technical documentation - Plan and document test cases and strategy for assigned projects in collaboration with developers - Execute test cases and thoroughly document results - Develop and maintain test tools in Python or C++ - Work on development and test automation and simulation framework - Troubleshoot problems found using the test tools

- BS in CS or similar required - 3-5 years C# and/or C++ - Experience working with Python or other scripting languages - Unix or Linux environment - Knowledge of financial markets (stock, options) is a plus - Ability to develop software with a test engineer mindset - Ability to narrow down a problem quickly and accurately - Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills - Creative independent thinker
