- Designs and implements solutions based upon defined systems requirements
- Acts as key solutions designer in development of software products
- Works with systems and business analysis functions to interpret business requirements into viable technology solutions
- Provides estimates on time and work scope to supervisor or Agile team
- Works with team using Agile software development process to drive the development direction that meets the requirements
- Provides technical specifications to ensure technical writing documentation reflects functionality
- Interprets product specifications to development team to ensure understanding for coding activity
- Researches and develops new technologies that are appropriate for the defined product direction
- Researches and develops the software functionality using industry standards
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is required.
- Strong understanding of web development.
- 1+ Years practical (hands-on) experience with J2EE Web applications development
- Strong understanding of best practices around website security.
- Strong knowledge of web server and application server capabilities and configuration.
- Strong understanding of deployment (ANT, Maven, Jenkins) and version control technologies (SVN).
- Strong understanding of development methodologies such as Agile or SCRUM development.
- Desire to learn new skills and technologies relating to web base platforms
- Innovative thinking to solve challenging problems.
- Results oriented with an ability to work in team and individual contributor work environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong OO architecture, design and programming skills.
- Strong understanding of patterns and best practices.
- Strong ability to decompose a broad level business requirement into technical implementation.
- Ability to mentor and guide development team members.
- Strong organization skills with good interpersonal skills and a customer service oriented attitude.
