Senior Java Software Engineer

Dynaxys LLC is a privately held company headquartered in Silver Spring Maryland. We provide Business Process Outsourcing (Accounts Payable, Billing and Collections, General Ledger Management and Loan Administration), Internet Hosting and Application Development (Web and Mobile applications, Software as a Service, Database development and Management, and Legacy System Integration) for Government Agencies and Private Businesses.

• Develop software using Java/J2EE
• Perform J2EE-based Web application design, development and deployment
• Develop Web Applications using HTML, JSF and/or JSP
• Create complex SQL queries to implement business logic and reporting requirements
• Use Design Patterns and Java industry best practices
• Provide technical/thought leadership for implementation of new tools & technologies
• Communicate effectively with other staff to improve processes, solve problems and resolve conflicts
• Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Core Qualifications

• 5-7 years Java programming experience
• 1-3 years experience with XML and JAXP
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL)
• Experience with Java build tools including Ant and Maven; open source technologies, including Apache commons libraries, Apache-FOP, Apache POI; JAXP and JAXB
• Experience with Java IDEs (Netbeans or Eclipse)
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis/Design and Object Oriented development.
• Ability to install, test and evaluate new tools & technologies
• Experience with standards, design patterns and commonly-accepted practices for Java software development
• Demonstrated ability to work in team environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Bonus Skills

• Java Swing / AWT programming experience
• Mobile App Development Experience
• Experience with RESTful Web Service interface implementation, RichFaces, PrimeFaces, Apache-Struts, JBoss, HTML, XSLT

Education/Work Experience

• B.S. in Business, Computer Science or Information Technology preferred
• B.A. in Liberal Arts with extensive additional technical training and experience accepted
