DevOps Manager

SmartBear Software provides tools for professionals to ensure the quality of their APIs, mobile, web and cloud-based applications.

• Lead a cohesive team responsible for several SaaS products and releases
• Work closely with leaders across development, product and support teams to build high scalability and availability processes
• Leverage Chef configuration management system to develop automation and monitoring across web application life cycle management
• Evolve disaster recovery and business continuity plans and processes
• Automate scalable, highly available application deployments in a greenfield environment and improve efficiency of infrastructure
• Implement code, automation tools, custom tools and scripts as necessary to evolve systems and processes

• Manage a team of personnel or serve as a project team lead
• Expertise with one or more tools to manage software deployment such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible and/or Salt
• Hands on experience with host and cloud infrastructure, most notably AWS
• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or Perl used in DevOps life cycles
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
• Understanding of cloud based application deployment patterns and knowledge of OpenStack and cloud computing practices
• Automate build and deployments with GitHub, Jenkins, and/or DockerHub
• Load balancing, reverse proxying and security with HAProxy
• Micro-services experience
• Work on a modern SaaS application
• Authorized to legally work in the United States (minimum of H1-B)
