Summary
Under general management, assist the Product Director on select field support functions. Assist the Product Director to ensure requirements are met for proper form usage. Assist the Product Director in drafting authority statements. Gather data to calculate portfolio level underwriting metrics. Assist with audits of product lines to ensure compliance. Assist in the development, support, and implementation of new product offerings, resources, or programs. Position has contact with the field as, however a majority of contact is with the Product Director and other Risk Services personnel. Incumbent will have a single product focus.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Product Director on select field support functions including requests from the field for updates to forms, systems, errors, or any other issues that may arise. * Assist the Product Director to ensure all requirements are met for proper form usage. * Assist the Product Director in drafting authority statements. * Assist the Product Director in coordinating field marketing endeavors. * Gather data to calculate portfolio level underwriting metrics for product review or ‘deep dive’ portfolio analysis. * Assist with audits of product lines to ensure proper compliance with underwriting guidelines. * Assist in the development, support, and implementation of new product offerings, resources, forms, or programs in conjunction with branch office business opportunities. * Assist in the development, support, and implementation of the underwriting process system including the movement of data between different systems. * Assist with special projects and other duties as needed. Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills** * Ability to summarize and synthesize anecdotal findings with portfolio level underwriting metrics. * Understanding of the underwriting process and how changes in product development, system, market conditions, or legal environment can affect that process. * Ability to generate innovative and workable solutions within the Risk Services department. * Ability to communicate findings and recommendations of Risk Services to internal and external contacts in a way that can be understood. * Ability to apply a strategic perspective to improve Risk Services functions. * Possess a results and learning orientation. **Required Experience** * Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Management, or a related field and 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar field or position. Experience with assumed reinsurance and/or property underwriting is a plus.
