Senior Full-Stack Engineer for Web Core

As a Senior member of a small, focused team you will have ownership over the design and development of this customer-facing system which will be used by large multi-national brands as well as small mom-and-pop publishers. Your systems will will be highly visible both internally and externally and would have visible high impact in improving the the data Quantcast’s business relies on.You should have a passion for developing sophisticated, reliable software using the latest technology. You are passionate about front-end development using React, AngularJS or similar UI frameworks as well as JVM-based server-side development. You are comfortable in writing highly performant Javascript code without the aid of any framework. You take pride in your deep knowledge of how browsers work, how they communicate with servers, what affects performance of client side Javascript, etc. Your experience enables you to periodically make recommendations about the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

* Define, code, test, and deploy new features to our new tagging product with an emphasis on extensibility and performance * Utilize latest HTML, CSS, and JS techniques to produce informative, and beautiful user experiences for clients * Add features and write tests to the measurement tag by writing highly-performant, cross-browser compatible Javascript so that it works consistently across all browsers and devices * Work cross-functionally with UX, Product, and other Engineering teams. Contribute to the product definition, UI, and system design processes * Evaluate feasibilities and effectively manage project scope and time * Continually evaluate and instill best practices into the development process, including automated testing, code organization and style, and application architecture * Provide guidance to other team members and mentorship to other software developers

* 5+ years professional web development experience including significant front-end work3+ years professional experience working with a Javascript MVC framework like Angular, Ember or React * 3+ years professional experience working on a server side using Python, Java, Scala, Ruby * Ability to write clean, concise, secure, highly performant, cross-browser compatible Javascript without the aid of any Javascript frameworks * Deep understanding of web platform (Javascript performance, Cookies, browser nuances, HTTP, CORS etc) * Experience leading projects or developing new products that deliver significant improvements in scale, features or reliability under little supervision * Excellent skills in system and code design, algorithms and data structures * Quantcast frequently uses the following technologies for web development, the preferred candidate will be familiar with some or all of: AWS, Java, Play Framework, AngularJS/React, SASS
