Software Engineer

Powder City was founded in July of 2014 by a former Health Supplement Wholesalers owner. Our goal is to be the price leader in nootropics and supplements while maintaining strict quality standards. This is accomplished through economies of scale and continuous process improvement.

We are starting a development team to create tools and application integrations for marketing and operations.

We are also outgrowing Shopify as an ecommerce platform and are in the process of customizing and integrating new platforms.

• Develop web applications and tools for marketing and operations

• Integrate software using APIs (Shopify, ShipStation, GoogleApps, Magento)

• Create and maintain documentation for applications

• Assist in ecommerce platform development

• Write software requirements specifications

• Develop proof of concepts

• Create data visualization for tools and applications (matplotlib or similar libraries)

• Data aggregation and web scraping

• Python development experience

• Version control experience (Git or similar)

• Python framework experience: Django, Flask, or similar

• Integration experience with APIs

• Experience with Python libraries for scraping: Scrapy, Beautiful Soup, httplib

• Database experience: MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or similar

• PaaS or deployment experience: Docker, Heroku, Deis, or similar services

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

• Basic HTML/CSS or front-end framework experience

• Magento or PHP experience

• Knowledge of JavaScript or jQuery

• JSON knowledge
