Summary
This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the VP of Business Development, Unitized. The incumbent for this position will utilize personal skill, clinical expertise, and product functional & technical knowledge to assist sales representatives in the field in building and maintaining clinical relationships with key facility staff to support the company's customer service programs, foster trust, influence opportunities, and maintain existing business. The incumbent for this position will assist in the introduction and promotion of new business initiatives and products; effectively solve customer issues; and handle requests for information and material as appropriate. The individual in this position will also be responsible for presenting products to health care workers in health care settings; assisting at company trade shows; and performing other clinical support functions for internal corporate departments as requested.
Responsibilities
* Coordinates and conducts the AVID INSIGHT & Unitized programs which includes: * Observing surgical procedures and developing recommendations in alignment with facility goals and objectives, including cost savings opportunities. * Providing recommendations for the standardization of packaging. * Reviewing supply chain process and providing recommendations to eliminate or decrease inefficiencies * Leveraging process (LEAN) methodology to provide operating room, management, sterile processing and supply chain efficiency guidance/recommendations. * Utilizing AORN Standards and journal articles to support clinician recommendations * Ensures all INSIGHT/ Unitized team members have all appropriate facility requirements, tools and information required no less than two weeks prior to an INSIGHT/UNITIZED Review. * Confirms dates and times and nurses available during requested timeframe. * Leads conference calls with consultant(s) to review agenda, objectives, expectations and adherence to timeframes requested. * Maintains appropriate documentation on all nurse consultants (clinicians) regarding credentials and vendor requirements prior to deployment to each facility. * Provides consultants with the criteria and format for the INSIGHT/Unitized via report template and observation check sheet. * Confirms nurse consultants (clinicians) are trained to conduct the INSIGHT/UNITIZED Program. * Reviews/Manages all requests for INSIGHT/UNITIZED reviews including goals/objectives from the sales force. * Interviews potential third party nurse consultants * Develops continuing education programs to support field selling efforts and strategic customer segments. * Maintains highly effective clinical relationships with key healthcare facility decision-makers and personnel in positions of influence. * Provides efficient and effective execution of product conversion activities. * Provides clinical support and expertise to all of the company's corporate departments. * Provides technical and clinical support to all sales team members as directed by the Director of Marketing. * Assists in the training and mentoring of newly hired sales representatives and newly hired clinical consultants. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge through attendance at educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies. * Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as requested by immediate supervisor and executive management. * Supervisory Responsibilities: * Responsible for developing and monitoring sound business processes and internal controls that enable the achievement of corporate objectives, minimize risk, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. * Responsible for coordinating any per diem nurse consultants that we may use for doing an INSIGHT/UNITIZED program and other clinical programs when the work load demands using additional personnel. **Supplemental Job Functions:** * May physically collect payment for customers. * Performs additional duties as directed.
Ideal Candidate
Education, Skills and Abilities * Requires minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. A Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field is preferred. **Work Experience:** * Minimum of 10 years of experience in Peri-operative nursing positions.
