Responsibilities

* Work with prospects, evaluators and customers to understand deep technical product requirements and needs
* Deliver product prototypes and extension examples to meet these needs
* Collaborate closely with engineering to identify opportunities for product and platform enhancement, prototype productization.
* Collaborate intensively with other Oracle services and product teams to produce integrated product use cases, demos and alignment
* Partner with sales and marketing to build and deliver high quality product collateral, sales demos and sales tools
* Be “the customer advocate” inside the company
* Drive production adoption and usage
* Understand and monitor the evolving infrastructure cloud and container market trends and competition
* Produce product tutorials, best practices and whitepapers that highlight customer value of new features
* Produce use case oriented product blogs targeted at prospects, customers and evaluators
* Participate in and become a well-known thought leader in the Docker, Container and DevOps community

Ideal Candidate

**Skills**
 
*  Can leverage software development background to build product prototypes, extensions and proof of concepts.
* Has a strong understanding of the infrastructure cloud technologies, and enterprise customer needs
* Has strong understanding and practical implementation knowledge with Docker and associated container technologies
* Strong understanding and experience with DevOps and agile methodologies
* Has enough technical knowledge of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure services to effectively engage with engineering teams
* Has a demonstrable ability to analyze and act against existing and rapidly changing markets
* Can advocate, articulate, and balance the needs of both technical and business stakeholders
* Demonstrates strong writing skills. Demonstrated ability to explain technical material to both technical and business audiences. Experience writing tutorials, white papers, data sheets, and case studies.
* Working knowledge of Docker, scripting languages and tools in the DevOps tool chain (such as Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines etc.)
 
**Preferred Qualifications**
 
* Previous experience (development, operations, product management) with large scale distributed systems, preferably cloud infrastructure services
* 5+ years of prior development experience across a range of programming languages and environments (such as Node, Ruby, Java, PHP)
* 5+ years of experience in delivering internet scale, highly available services
* Previous experience with managing multiple projects at the same time
* Previously played an active role in a successful agile environment
* Experience building and deploying Enterprise Java applications preferred
* Understanding and experience with building micro services based applications preferred
* Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters or MBA preferred with strong relevant experience in the field.
