Director of Services and Operations

Apply Now Omnigon is looking for a results-driven, innovative and passionate leader to join the company as Director of Services and Operations. Critical to this role is helping to scale our people and processes to meet the ever-growing needs of our business. This person will help recruit, manage and motive a team while working closely with other groups within the organization including Finance, Sales, Client Management and Marketing. This is a highlytechnical position as this candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience with Cloud Architecture. Equally as important to this role is this candidates leadership abilities as they will be overseeing our team of nearly 100 DevOps, Technical Client Support Services, Technical Implementations and IT staff.

* 5+ years of experience in software engineering and complex systems designwith a focus on Software Architecture, Design and Engineering, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), DevOps, monitoring and tools infrastructure, network design * Proficiency in architecting and designing experiences at an enterprise/service provider level on cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Rackspace, and other leading Cloud Service * Expertise in AWS Products and Services (Elastic Load Balancer, Cloud Formation, Aurora, EC2, RDS, RT * Expert in private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization and global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing and networking, massive data storage, and cloud infrastructure management tools such as, Nagios, Icinga, Chef/ Puppet, Bamboo /Jenkins, and RD * Expert knowledge of Automation and Monitoring Tools including Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Nagios, Jenkins, New Relic and others * Proficiency in translating business requirements into cost effective and scalable cloud-based solutions * Track record of launching Continuous Delivery and Continuous Operations disciplines within DevOps * Knowledge and experience with real-time data processing (sockets) /delivery, infrastructure and streaming * Proven track record in architecting and implementing complex backup, disaster recovery, and colocation strategies within cloud infrastructures * Prior experience in an automated build pipeline, continuous integration and continuous deployment to AWS * Demonstrated proficiency in creating effective monitoring/alerting for backend systems * Deep understanding of deployment and rollback planning * Demonstrated expertise in various methods for implementing cloud scaling strategies **Managerial** * 5+ years of experience in managing and mentoring diverse, cross-functional onshore/offshore technical teams * 5+ years of consulting and/or client facing experience * 5+ years of Operations Management experience from a professional services/agency background * Highly analytical and efficient in presenting data * Highly organized with focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes * Exceptional time management skills and accountability * Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment * Demonstrated abilities to lead a team within a fast paced start up environment * Entrepreneurial spirit / self-starter
