Summary
Responsible for analyzing, evaluating and classifying positions, within the Medical Center, utilizing external/internal market data and making appropriate recommendations as required. Assists with increase program implementation processes for Union and Non-Union employee populations within the Hospitals Center, School of Medicine and Affiliations
Responsibilities
* Assists departments in identifying and/or describing job content, minimum requirements and critical factors required for existing and proposed positions in order to effectively develop, evaluate and/or classify positions within the organization. Reviews information provided by departments (written memos, etc.) and identifies significant details necessary to define the scope of responsibilities, minimum requirements, license and other critical factors for the position. Assesses comprehensiveness of information provided to determine optimal method of obtaining additional data or clarification, i.e., site interview, phone contact, etc. Uses appropriate systems and tools to support analysis. * Analyzes market data utilizing third party surveys and internal comparative data to determine appropriate classifications for positions. Consolidates and compiles information into a cohesive, understandable report for review by internal/external customers. Recommends appropriate classifications, titles and salary level for positions based on reliable data and sound compensation theory. Recommends appropriate incumbent salary. Participates in ongoing third party surveys in a timely fashion and reviews survey results to identify the organizations competitive standing. * Implements salary increase programs and market adjustments for union and non-union populations within the Hospitals Center, School of Medicine and Affiliations. Independently develops recommendations for market adjustments. Identifies potential internal or organizational equity issues. Independently develops reports outlining cost implications and impact analyses for management review and approval. Composes proposals, survey result summaries and supporting data in a neat, comprehensive format for review. Develops timeline and guideline criteria necessary for the timely planning and implementation of increase programs as assigned. Coordinates program implementation efforts between HRIT, IT and affected departments/employees in a timely manner and in accordance with quality control standards. * Assists in the administration, implementation and communication of Compensation policies and practices. Documents all pertinent information, i.e., reports, summaries, recommendations, communications in accordance with Compensation practices and for historical file purposes in a neat and comprehensive manner. * Documents results and recommendations in accordance with Compensation practices and historical file purposes in a neat and comprehensive manner.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources. Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications
