Software Engineer in Tools and Infrastructure

We are looking for a talented software engineer in tools and infrastructure to build infrastructure, specs and automation that improve and help deliver the Nest Store and related app services.

• Lead testing and qualification of e-commerce business logic and backend APIs
• Design and architect a continuous-build model for backend store deployments cross-functional integration with product marketing, finance, support, app/web engineering and vendors
• Responsible for production builds and deployment/release to internal test servers
• Bug regression, verification and reporting for high volume changes by building out automated tests and performing various manual tests
• Responsible for the vision to continuously improve the performance, scalability and reliability of the store

• Ability to understand and react to business requirements and to question and improve initial ideas and put in place solutions that withstand rapid growth and change experience with JVM
• Well versed in Java and comfortable working on Linux based systems
• Executing best practices for source code version control with Git
• Strong communicator with a proven track record of working collaboratively on complex projects
• Strong ownership of quality in code and experience working with multiple vendors
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and Hybris preferred
• Java and Unix based system knowledge

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline
• At least 2 years experience in programming/automation development
