If this is you, then we want you for the Retail Sales Manager position. MarketStar is excited to team up and represent Verizon, who is an industry leader that provides cutting-edge technology solutions that enhance lives, in major retail locations. The Retail Sales Manager will report directly to the District Sales Manager. They will be responsible for a sales team, and the sales performance of the retail location assigned to them (typically inside a Verizon Wireless location). This also includes the overall performance of the store, as well as some personal quota. In addition, you will help drive team results by coaching, mentoring, and motivating sales associates to achieve their established goals.
Responsibilities
* Select and hire top talent through effective interviewing, and proper use of the tools and training given * Manage your store’s staffing needs by establishing personnel schedules. Ensure proper coverage, including backfilling shifts for sales reps when necessary * Coach and manage the performance and development of sales reps on a daily basis * Work collaboratively with the District Manager to manage monthly program changes, adjust schedules, and team expectations * Engage and qualify consumers for fiber optic services, and ask for/close the sale when they are eligible. This could be selling a new product (Phone, TV, Internet), or upselling the customer to an upgraded version of the product they already have. * Demonstrate the client's fiber optic services and products, ultimately closing more sales. * Demonstrate sales leadership and accountability by reporting on, and achieving daily, weekly and monthly sales goals * Maintain strong knowledge of the latest technology, as well as new products and services in the phone, TV, and internet spaces; including both Verizon and competitor developments. * Partner effectively in dynamic environments with Verizon Wireless personnel to make the most of every customer interaction * Ensure integrity and strong working relationship with Verizon Wireless team at all times
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum 1 year of experience in a retail sales environment * Experience managing the performance of others preferred * Experience in a wireless environment preferred * Proven history of closing sales, exceeding quotas, and maximizing commission potential * Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays * Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word * Minimum high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred
