Summary
This role is in the Science and Innovation Department which works with the internal client project teams involving large scale custom data sets, advanced time series and cross section econometrics for demand generation, and proprietary simulation and optimization algorithms. The specific mission is to build the most sophisticated analytical engine that delivers a user equalizing product experience that puts actionable insights front and center while keeping the complexity completely behind the curtain. Responsibilities
* Working on cutting-edge marketing analytics R&D projects utilizing advanced machine learning, statistics, and optimization techniques, from the concept stage all the way through to production deployment. * Developing, supporting, customizing and enhancing new or existing client deployments. * Collaborating with cross functional teams inside the organization including engineering, product, data management and strategy, as well as with external industry partners in order to drive and deliver R&D efforts.
Ideal Candidate
* MS or above in Applied Math/Statistics/Computer Science with strong background in machine learning techniques and proficiency in programming. Prior experience with marketing analytics is a big plus. * Experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns, handling large data sets and data mining/machine learning, statistical and mathematical modeling, and exact/heuristic optimization algorithms. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are must. * A strong orientation and understanding of working with client facing deadlines is a must * Additional preferred skills include: working knowledge of MATLAB or R, SQL, and compiled languages such as C++, Java or C#, experience or exposure to NoSQL and/or big data technologies such as MongoDB, Hive, Hadoop and Spark. Experience in or ability to quickly pick up functional programming languages such as Scala is a plus. * Exposure to enterprise-class product development environment including processes and tools for bug tracking, version control systems, debuggers, profilers, IDEs, compilers, automated testing tools.
