The Network and Security Engineer will manage the network switches and firewalls supporting our production and corporate environments and assist with assessing the enterprise security vulnerabilities. This critical team member will be on point to ensure network availability and security. Responsibilities
* Administer and maintain all network switches and firewalls associated with corporate, development, QA and production environments. * Provide oversight and projections for network circuit/bandwidth needs and work with vendors to resolve any carrier issues. * Document network and network security policies and procedures. * Support information security initiatives such as policy gap analysis, penetration testing, and policy compliance * Develop and recommend solutions to mitigate network security vulnerabilities * Assist with identifying network security vulnerabilities * Conduct research to identify and prevent new attacks to our systems and products * Support potential vendor RFP activities for hardware and bandwidth * Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of experience in network engineering * 3+ years of experience with firewall administration * Demonstrated experience with LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, BGP and OSPF * Scripting skills knowledge preferred – shell scripting, Ruby, Python, Perl, Powershell * Network Certifications (obtained or in progress) strongly preferred: CCNA Security, CCNP Routing and Switching * Experience with security management integration with Windows environments * Familiarity with information security policies, procedures, information security tools such as vulnerability scanning, patch management processes, and incident response procedures * Demonstrated strong commitment to customer service, teamwork and project management * Excellent written, verbal communication skills and demonstrated organizational skills
