We’re looking for an analytical, self-directed, and creative National Account Manager to execute web merchandising and connect our consumers with great new products as part of our LivingSocial Shop Team.
Responsibilities
* Source, negotiate and build compelling product assortments that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives to ensure top line growth * Research and manage category landscape with an eye on trends in the field * Execute product merchandising to increase margin contribution and continuously improve our consumer shopping experience * Make a high volume of outbound sales calls to a variety of national e-commerce suppliers across multiple cities in the US * Identify brands and product that represent our consumer demand * Leverage and build strong relationships with vendors * Represent and share the details and successes of our company with potential partners * Aggressively negotiate product promotions and delivery * Confidently pitch paid email placement to partners to boost sales
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree required * 2-5 years of successful experience buying, merchandising and/or sales * E-commerce experience is preferred * Ability to meet category targets and deeper understanding of impact if not met * Critical thinker who understands LivingSocial platform and can make decisions on what product would run successfully * Understanding of retail math, merchandising concepts and the ability to manage profitability * Experience in internet merchandising * Discount/liquidation retail experience a plus * Articulate and persuasive communicator (oral and written) with strong negotiation skills * Self-motivation with a strong work ethic * Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity to meet deadlines * Technologically proficient and familiarity with inventory systems
