Summary
Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a detail-oriented and personable Financial Analyst II to join the Finance team. You will provide management with financial reporting and analysis that is used for strategic and capital decision making. In addition, you will work with various corporate stakeholders to analyze financial and accounting concepts related to Treasury, cash management, strategic planning, interest, and currency exposures. An understanding of financial statements and accounting is critical but this is an analytical role rather than an accounting position.
Responsibilities
* Analyze and model financial information including cash flow, working capital, and interest * Conduct complex business analysis including ROI, NPV, and IRR, making recommendations to management based on historical market data * Research, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources into business information * Prepare financial and business related analysis and research in such areas as bank fees, RFP preparation, working capital, intercompany lending, and cash investments * Refine and improve current reporting and analysis, often performing ad hoc reporting to satisfy end users
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have either a Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of experience or 1-3 years of experience with an MBA. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Management, or Finance * Relevant experience in finance or accounting * Strong knowledge of MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint * Thorough understanding of how financial statements work * Ability to work independently and take initiative **Desired Skills/Qualifications** * MBA or an advanced degree in Business, Finance, or Management * Experience with financial and quantitative analysis * VBA Skills
