Summary
The Operational Key Account Manager (OKAM) supports and helps drive customer support initiatives in cooperation with the respective internal and external stakeholders. The OKAM will assist in recurring, routine tasks and set up measures and processes for automation and to reduce manual labor, but will also be required to promptly assist in urgent or “emergency” situations with the respective customer in regards to reporting, (spot) quotes, problem shipments, etc. The goal is to provide impeccable service both internally, as well as externally. Some duties and responsibilities are as below, but not limited to the same.
Responsibilities
* Drive regular QBR’s with customers assigned to position’s portfolio * Assisting in RFQs and quotations * Set up processes and SOPs * Maintain SOPs and analyze existing set ups for potential room for improvement * First point of contact for internal and external customer for a account related topics * Maintenance of overall LogIn set up * Evaluate accounts and help identify “low-hanging fruit” * Act on and help drive extraordinary work ethic throughout the KN team involved with the accounts * General reporting functionalities outside of QBR’s * Close cooperation with all KN internal stake holders * Assisting in account implementations with NYC order management and IT teams
Ideal Candidate
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team * Minimum of 3 years operational experience in international logistics * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Advanced experience in MS Office applications * Basic knowledge of KN LogIn and its tools required, advanced knowledge preferred * Customer focused (internal and external customers) * Commercial acumen * College education preferred * Experience with KN’s operational and financial applications preferred * Some travel expected * Direct and frequent customer contact a given (business and social events)
