Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Java Developer, candidate will throw down on a brand new eLearning platform that is meant to educate and elevate tomorrow's marketers today. Candidate will contribute to the architecture and build of this platform from its earliest phases. Candidate is comfortable in a truly fast-paced environment and understand the importance of shipping software. Candidates are pragmatic in your decision making, are comfortable with failing fast, and understand the trade-offs between building the -perfect- solution and one that is -good enough-. The candidate loves collaborating with a team, deal with ambiguity well, and require no hand holding.

* Work with a small, focused, driven, agile, and cross-functional team (engineers, design, product management) to produce amazing solutions * Write high-quality code that is reasonably tested and well documented * Collaborate with the team to improve execution and increase velocity * Learn what is required to get the job done * Be flexible and open to change * Automate all the things

* 3-6 years of professional engineering/development experience * Proficiency with Java, Spring, Spring Security, RESTful APIs, JPA, Hibernate, SOA (Microservices), ElasticSearch, AWS, and Continuous Integration (Build Management) * Comfortable with single-page web-app frameworks like Angular, Ember, Knockout, or React * Comfortable with HTML5, CSS3, Sass, and WebSockets * Experience with developing software in an agile environment leveraging Scrum and/or Kanban * Comfortable with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence * Excellent coding skills and understand where to apply design pattern * Experience building robust, highly scalable applications * Would be nice to have but not required * Experience working on a public facing SaaS product * Experience working with CDNs and video delivery * A GitHub profile that showcases personal projects and/or contributions to the open source community
