Responsibilities
  • Convert product performance inputs into clear / concise and compelling actionable data for application to improve product quality
  • Provide clear and timely communication to Quality management relative to quality issues
  • Support Powertrain Quality Manager, Powertrain Product Teams and Sector Leaders as well as a liaison between release engineers, purchasing, supplier quality and manufacturing
  • Voice of Product Family Warranty and Customer survey; Analyze, maintain top Pareto issues and initiate action
  • Coordinate/Facilitate/Participate in the engine Product Team PrePit / CPIT activities
  • Coordinate/Presenter/Voice of product team warranty information at Sector CPIT activities
  • Analyze, assign and track warranty performance and customer feedback through TAC, Warranty Claims, CVEP/CTF, dealer calls, etc.
  • Analyze, assign and track Customer survey information (Compass, JD Power, Consumer Report, etc.)
  • Early issue identification, tracking and resolution to ensure global BIS target leadership
  • Product Family extended warranty issue identification, tracking and resolution; feed forward issues
  • Support Quality reviews, ensuring integrity of data, for both Powertrain and Platform (Vehicle Group CPITs)
  • Support Quality Deep Dives / Sector Reviews / Quality Councils etc.
  • Comfortable and competent with presenting to large groups of people, including executive leadership
Ideal Candidate
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Warranty analysis and customer survey experience; Knowledgeable in GART, Tracker GART, QIS2, Compass, JDP, Consumer Reports, PRTS, GWM
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Ability to work independently and identify issues through data
  • High level of interpersonal skills to effectively work with others and in a team environment
  • High level of computer competency / excel files - experienced with pivot tables & macros / experienced with PowerPoint & embedded files
  • Focused on acquiring results quickly and completely with high energy and a positive attitude
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Product Quality / Product Engineering / Plant Manufacturing / Product Development / Supplier Quality or Brand Quality
  • Product familiarity with engines and/or transmissions preferred
  • Ability to Manipulate date, problem solving and communication skills
  • Warranty analysis experience desired
  • Excel and pivot table proficiency
  • Ability to create and foster relationships across multiple functions and regions
