Summary
The IT Associate II will participate as a support team member to provide technical support, resolve issues and plan for assigned IT functions. In this role, the IT Associate II will provide support services to internal colleagues. To ensure high quality service, the IT Associate II will develop their technical knowledge and problem solving skills to improve support, increase service efficiency and expand services.
Responsibilities
**Principal Accountabilities** * Work as part of a team to provide software and/or hardware support while developing the skills to move into one of the formal IT & Development career paths. * The incumbent has general knowledge and experience in Information Technology and supports the overall IT functions of the Company. * In general there would be a higher level of supervision and support for these roles rather than the Analyst level. **Job Complexity/Scope Differentiators** * Under guidance, participate as part of support team to provide technical support, resolve issues and plan for assigned IT functions. * Provide customer facing support services to internal colleagues. * Continuously expand knowledge of the Information Technology field and apply it to software development, system architecture, program management, software quality assurance, information security, and understanding and developing business solutions. * Continuously strive to improve, support and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and expand services. * Improve problem solving abilities along with communication skills to deliver high quality service.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge and Skills** * General understanding of commonly used IT technologies including PC support. Any knowledge of Networking, Applications, Programming Languages, Databases, Server Technologies, etc. is preferred. * Analytical and problem-solving skills encompassing process and service delivery for the team. * Must be able to work effectively as part of a support team. Take initiative and a lead in certain instances and foster team cooperation. * Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs. * Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. * When communicating take full account of the business impact of any work or process undertaken by the team. * Should be able to provide remote support effectively. * Would have capacity to work as part of a matrix organization and influence others as part of that organization. **Experience** 1-2 years relevant experience. **Education and Certifications** Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Competencies** * Teamwork and Collaboration (F and Above) (Do Not Have Direct Reports) * People and Team Leadership (G and Below) (Have Direct Reports) * Decision Making and Problem Solving (F and Above) * Results Orientation * Effective Communication (F and Above) * Customer Focus (F and Above) **Physical Requirements** * General office environment * Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations * Ability to physically perform general office requirements
