Software Developer

Hyland Software Inc. is the developer of the enterprise content management and process management software suite called OnBase.

• Be proactive in finding ways to improve the code, architecture, and development processes
• Assure quality of the solutions being developed within the team
• Troubleshoot and debug support issues and code blues autonomously
• Maintain technical mastery of the products being developed
• Maintain a strong overall knowledge of the OnBase suite
• Mentor other developers, be accessible, and proactively assist other developers
• Work in cooperation with product leads to develop product direction from a technical perspective
• Participate in initial implementations of new product.
• Develop and promote coding standards
• Advocate and promote technical training through the use of the Education Coordinator to create best practices training for both development and other teams outside the department

• At least a 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams
• Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrated programming proficiency with C#, C++ and DICOM
• Strong understanding of usage of Structure Query Language (SQL)
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows programming
• Strong understanding of the concepts of Object Oriented Software and design
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues independently
• Experience with a source control system
• Ability to accept and adapt to changing development tasks and priorities
