Mobile Staff SW Engineer

Description Visa is seeking a Staff SW Engineer within the Commercial Product Development team which is a part of Visa's Data organization and is responsible for designing, developing and managing 20+ Information products and services for Visa's Commercial line of products. Our range of products include data processing platforms, BI reporting and data mining solutions, B2B payments platform etc. This position reports to Director, Visa IntelliLink Platform and will be based in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will be a lead developer focused on application development of critical information based applications.

Primary responsibilities will include * Develop code and mentor junior developers to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and with good code quality. * Business and technical analysis, design, coding, unit testing, implementation and documentation of solutions for new development, system enhancements, and production support. * Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate; to ensure the quality of work delivered by teammates is in accordance with development standards. * Responsible for the architecture, design, development, implementation of online and data based software applications. This includes working with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services that meet business requirements and expectations. * Interact with business units to define requirements/modifications and use case to utilize in designing appropriate solutions. Provide recommendation on scope and scale of effort required to develop solution. * Design, develop, document and implement new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. * Develop testing and debugging routines and oversee execution. * Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. * Build and maintain relationship with global and virtual teams and third parties on software development or support issues. * Work directly with Architects, System Analysts and QA team leads to manage the technical aspects of a development pipeline. * Coordinate design activities, testing frameworks, and other related items in addition to contributing core product code.

Qualifications * 5+ Years' Experience with Objective-C, C#, or C/C++ programming and debugging skills * Strong understanding of application architecture and object-oriented design * Android, iOS, or Windows Phone development experience, with deep knowledge of best practices, APIs and libraries * Experience developing native mobile apps is strongly preferred. * Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies * Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle * Working experience with networking and messaging protocols * Proficiency in the following areas: multi-threaded programming * Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills is must. * Ability to juggle multiple projects and change direction mid-course based on business drivers. * Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs. * Ability to work independently in a high throughput environment ] * Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related technology discipline. -Past experience in Payment industry and Commercial product line is a plus.
