Summary
Assists Account Team in servicing account management responsibilities of the employee benefit clients. Utilizes technical expertise to retain present clients. Perform marketing and renewal functions. Assists client with daily service functions. To acquire a knowledge of all phases of the Consultant role within the Employee Benefits Department. The position is responsible to the head of the office /or Senior Consultant and/or Vice President .
Responsibilities
* Coordinates and executes the implementation of new and existing clients: * New Client Set-up Form * File Folders * Client Listings / Notifications * Hays Network & Systems * Zywave * Coverage Profiles / Benefit Books * presentation * Assists Account team in preparing requests for proposals and renewals of benefit coverages. * Assists Consultant with review of contracts, summary plan descriptions, agreements, wrap doc etc., for accuracy. * Prepares and submits client utilization and financial reporting to Consultant and to client. * Works with clients and markets to answer questions and resolve issues. * Confers with producer/AEs to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs. * Reviews insurance circulars and bulletins to keep current on changes in the industry. * Performs day to day routine customer service functions for the clients. * Participate in market meetings, seminars and training programs as directed. * Assists in maintaining files for resource library including current developments, legislative changes, and market updates and works with Account team to advise impact to client. * Prepare communication material; co-ordinate wellness program * Prepare RFP for marketing, analyze result and spread data for presentation. * Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned. This may include involvement in presentations, client functions and meetings.
Ideal Candidate
* College degree required. * An exceptional knowledge of all lines of employee benefits. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Able to work independently and use judgement to make accurate decisions. Or work with teammates on large projects. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Five (5) to Eight (8) years in an insurance-related industry or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Required – licensed in Life/Accident and Health Insurance. * Strong computer skill utilizing Microsoft: word, PowerPoint, excel, other basic design software * Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting service requirements. * Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of Hays systems and processes. * Able to travel to client’s site to conduct meetings or OE independently
