Summary
The Region Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for delivering on annual growth and profitability goals. The RSM will achieve this by managing broker(s) execution in a roughly 5-6 state geographic area by driving growth of brewer and beverage sales with assigned strategic local leverage operators (LLO’s) and with new Keurig Authorized Distributor (KAD) and/or Broadline Distributor acquisition and launches. The RSM will also be responsible for managing trade funds and development of the KADs’ sales and service teams. The RSM will be in charge of driving and increasing the installed base of Foodservice brewers & beverages with consistent year-to-year growth.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with manager to develop, present and execute a customer product (brewer and beverage) strategy with specific tactics to achieve the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for each assigned customer, as measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). * Acquire, manage and increase customer revenue. Optimize customer performance via hands-on management and training of field personnel. * Effectively sell/convey the Keurig Green Mountain (Keurig) Value Proposition and profitability story to customers within the region to motivate and influence customer activity, focus and results. * Represent Keurig and its policies to customers resulting in understanding, acceptance and adherence to all contractual provisions and other company policies. * Provide, present and implement business building growth ideas for customers. * Effectively lead and manage broker execution, including: interviewing, hiring, training, conducting market and strategic customer reviews and executing quarterly & annual sales and trade planning. * Represent the company at Trade Shows —and as required—outside of assigned customer base. * Help drive end-user interest in Keurig via prospecting meetings and cold calling from time to time among high potential targets. * Effectively manage trade budgets and comply with all trade marketing policies and procedures where applicable. * Implement price increases and profitability improvement where appropriate. * Provide accurate sales forecasts for volume and revenue. * Grow the Broadline distribution base by prospecting for new business partners. * Prepare and implement strategic customer plans. * Develop effective and respectful relationships with all stakeholders. * Travel up to 50% and work a flexible schedule.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience ideally selling products through a foodservice broker network, or 7 years equivalent sales experience. Solid financial and business acumen skills. Strong value creation selling skills.
