Security Javascript Engineer

Fastly is looking for a senior security Javascript engineer to join our web application firewall (WAF) team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience building rich client-side User Interfaces for security products on the web. They should be fluent in web technology and standards, capable of delivering excellent code in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, and enjoy a combination of autonomy and collaboration.

* Develop and maintain delightful user experiences in ambitious web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript * Crafting security product interfaces that look and behave well across browsers and platforms * Collaborate with backend developers on implementation of REST endpoints * Produce reliable, well-tested, high-quality code * Contribute ideas for iterative improvements to both code and culture * Assist our support engineers in diagnosing and triaging issues throughout the stack

**Requirements** * Good understanding of JavaScript * Experience building rich web interfaces using frameworks like Ember and React * Experience delivering software using agile methodologies * Excited about mentoring other members of the team * Supporting the full lifecycle of a software project, including deployment and monitoring **Desired** * Familiarity with web application attacks and security products * Familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts * Familiarity with data science/data visualization concepts, especially around time series, geolocation, heat maps
