Summary
Eventbrite's industry leading reserved seating product is set to do huge things in 2016. We are expanding the product to the biggest venues worldwide--going from supporting yoga studios and galas to sports arenas. We’re looking for a Senior UI Engineer to join our small and laser-focused team as we build a fully self-service mapping system. Our reserved seating uses a mix of custom and open source WebGL graphics engine at its core, surrounded by cutting-edge technologies like React and Golang.
Responsibilities
* Implement beautiful & responsive user interfaces for desktop, mobile and tablet browsers that delight our users and match our brand * Work closely with Product Management, UX, and Design, giving input on what is both intuitive and feasible * Contribute to front end architectural improvements and create shared visual components that span our service * Work in an environment where we move quickly, are always learning, and enjoy a challenge
Ideal Candidate
**The Skill Set:** * 6+ years of working experience in rapid product development building responsive web pages using a combination of semantic HTML5 & advanced CSS3 * Deep understanding of cross-browser compatibility pitfalls and how to work around them * A track record of working closely with Design teams to build beautiful & intuitive web pages and applications * Experience with techniques for improving SEO and accessibility * Excitement about working in an environment where you are expected to make a significant and visible contribution * The desire to work on a highly visible product that impacts millions of users **Bonus Points:** * A strong portfolio that displays your passion for delighting users * Previous experience working with a large engineering team on a complex web application * Familiarity with a server-side frameworks such as Django, Express, Rails or .Net * Familiarity with Javascript applications using technologies like Backbone/Marionette, React, Redux, WebGL, and ThreeJS * Experience with visual design techniques like spacing, typography and color * Experience with game development concepts like render loops, instancing, shader optimization, and path finding
