Summary
Sells products to business, government establishments or individuals at sales office, customer’s place of business or other locations.
Responsibilities
* Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, past history and other sources * Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, communicate with customers by oral or written methods * Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained * Estimate date of service to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s schedule * Prepare reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts * Works with assigned personnel to collect and keep account activities up to date * Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database * Develop and maintain relationship with purchasing and sales contacts * Investigate and resolve customer problems * Coordinate and direct crew members performing work sold * Follow all company policies, procedures and work rules * React appropriately in an emergency situation * Perform all duties as required * Report timely and accurately to supervisor

Commercial driver’s license preferred and may be required, depending on job requirements * Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience **Language Ability:** Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Write correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Bi-lingual in Spanish is beneficial. **Math Ability:** Perform basic arithmetic computations **Reasoning Ability:** Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
