Principal Java Developer (Cloud)

Agility Platform's industry-leading policy-based cloud governance, security and lifecycle management capabilities accelerate the adoption of cloud services across the enterprise and deliver business critical applications safely into the cloud. Our Principal Java Developer will support this exciting work with a team of very talented colleagues.

* Spend most time developing code, and efficiently producing exemplary and thoroughly tested code for the most challenging features. Code typically persists for the lifetime of a software version. * Produce clear, well-communicated, complete designs for product features or sub-systems. * Go-to Developer for a product or major sub-system and is seen as a leader in their specialized field. * Collaborate with team members, product managers and leads in an Agile development environment.

* 6+ years of experience with highly available & multi-tiered, scalable enterprise applications. * Experience in Cloud Architectures - IaaS, PaaS and SaaS * Practical working experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS, VMWare, Azure and/or Softlayer is preferred * Experience in database like MySql * Experience in Java/J2EE programming model. * Experience in OSGI technology * Experience in source control system like Git * Experience in continuous integration and development tools like Jenkins * Experience in Service Oriented Architecture and REST/WSDL services is highly desirable. * Conceptualize, code, deploy, and iterate on next generation prototypes. * Must have experience in an agile team environment. * Ability to work closely with Product, Architecture & QA. Not just focus on delivering the product, but be able to drive the requirements from design to implementation. * Work independently and in cross-discipline team environments. * Past experience in framework and platform development preferred. * Correctly estimates software schedules, and delivers on time without quality issues. * Works well within a team, and contributes effectively to the success of the team. * Can triage and resolve production site issues without supervision. * Able to innovate, through prototyping or other means.
