Senior Mobile App Developer

Cox Enterprises is a leading communications, media and automotive services company.

As the Sr. Mobile Application Developer you will be responsible for designing, architecting, building and maintaining native iOS and/or Android mobile applications for Cox's news television properties. This is a fulltime position located in Atlanta Georgia. The role demands a seasoned senior mobile application developer who specializes in native mobile applications on phones and tablets.

* Design, architect and build innovative, exceptional and well-engineered mobile applications with intuitive, well-designed user interfaces that satisfy both internal and external customer requirements * Directly responsible for the development and delivery of Cox's television properties mobile applications on phones and tablets * Participate in and help drive mobile architecture and design decisions * Help develop best practices for mobile application development within Cox * Participate in the teams scrum activities (daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and planning) * Train, mentor and coach the team on mobile application development * Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, documentation, tools, and best practices * Participate in and influence user interface interaction and design decisions * Work closely with the QA team to facilitate thorough testing

* Minimum 5-8 years experience in software development with 3-4 years of native mobile application development * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines (or equivalent education and experience) * Proven expertise in iOS application programming (Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, xCode, interface builder) and/or Android application programming (Java, Android SDK, Android Studio) * Deep understanding of memory management, file I/O, network programming, and multi-threading required * Published examples of mobile applications on the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store * Solid knowledge on web service feed integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) * Experience using GIT or other revision control software * Mobile push notification implementation experience * Expertise in mobile video delivery, streaming and playback * Experience with Agile development projects, especially Scrum * Proven results oriented person with a delivery and quality focus * Passion for working in small teams with rapid development cycles * Expertise in analytics (omniture) and ads integration (DFP) a plus
