Mobile Software Engineer

Emerson Climate Technologies is looking for a Mobile Software Engineer experienced with iOS and Android, who is passionate and enjoys developing code. Should have experience with hands-on development in Java for the Android platform or Objective-c for the iOS platform. This includes detailed software design, developing code with unit tests to implement the design, correcting flaws based on requirements testing, and integrating the applications.

* Assist in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) * Develop automated UAT and Unit Tests * 24/7 on call support rotation

* 2-5 years experience with native Android application development in Java using the Android SDK * 2-5 years experience with native iOS application development in Objective-c or swift * Experience developing and integrating with web services * An expert in the Android or iOS operating systems * Solid working knowledge of mobile application design considerations * Work well with team members and other teams, dividing up workload appropriately * Experience with Java and Objective-c IDEs (e.g. Intellij, Android Developer Studio, Xcode), profilers, debuggers, revision control systems (e.g. GIT) and bug tracking (e.g. TFS) * Have at least one app in the Apple and/or Google Play store **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in Agile environments * 2+ years’ experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) * Experience with pair programming * Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment * Experience with automated testing * Excellent organizational, communication, and motivational skills * Eager to Learn and Willingness to Teach * Experience building user-friendly apps * Swift experience
