- Participates in physical design and development planning meetings to help determine the best solution to accommodate the business need
- Partners with entire technical team to determine systems planning, scheduling and implementation timeline to ensure the appropriate timing is set to ensure the project can be completed in scheduled time
- Understands and develops software to support technical specifications for software
- Uses technical knowledge of standard development concepts, practices and procedures
- Writes, develops and continuously unit tests software that meet the needs of the design specifications
- Create and review technical specifications and test plans
- Performs functional testing of software to ensure software is performing appropriately and at optimal level
- Identifies and escalates issues that impact project performance
- Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and preforms problem resolution
- Creates new and extend existing operational documentation
- Leads and mentors Software Developers
- Optimizes Software Development processes to ensure timely delivery of quality software Application Support
- Adheres to standards and best practices, processes, and deliverables in accordance with Consensus standards
- Collaborates with team to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build processes
- Maintains existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
- Investigates and develops skills in new technologies
- 4 year college degree (preferably in Computer Science) and/or equivalent experience
- 4 years of experience building database-driven applications in a SaaS environment
- 1 year of experience leading a software development team
- Experience with PHP, Java, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML 5. Experience with Unix/Linux, Java, Apache, CSS, SOAP, REST, XML desired.
- Familiarity and experience with Agile methodology
- Knowledge of web/ecommerce architectures, technologies and design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
