Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing software solutions for assigned projects, both independently and with teammates. - Writing unit and integration tests. - Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting data and software issues. - Documenting code and design, and reviewing code and design docs from others. - Estimating tasks and providing status updates when needed - Synthesizing requirements into cohesive designs while identifying gaps and contradictions. - Identifying improvements in our current systems and processes. - Collaborating with teammates and end users to deliver the right solution. - Participating in design discussions and code reviews. - Getting to know our systems and processes. - Helping to mentor and guide more junior developers.
Ideal Candidate
- 5 to 8 years professional experience writing code - Experience developing in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Ruby, Java, Apex. - Experience with object-oriented development - Experience maintaining and deploying production systems - Experience with relational databases - Experience interacting with REST APIs - Is comfortable taking ownership of deliverables as part of a team. - Is comfortable working with non-technical staff. - Is able to read, write, and speak English at a professional level of fluency. WE’LL BE ESPECIALLY IMPRESSED IF YOU HAVE - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field - Experience writing custom classes and triggers in Salesforce - Experience with software testing frameworks and methodologies - Experience with data visualization - Experience creating web applications - Experience with Business Intelligence applications - Experience with node.js - Experience creating REST APIs - Salesforce certification - Deep knowledge of databases and data manipulation/integration BONUS POINTS - Have contributed to open-source software in the past - Are active in the local tech community
