Summary
The successful candidate will provide pre-sales technical assistance to CloudPassage sales professionals when engaging with prospects in the sales cycle. CloudPassage Halo is an emerging solution in an emerging market (Cloud Workload Security) so strong education and evangelism skills are required.
Responsibilities
* Own the technical relationship with customers, prospects and partners. * Listen to and obtain key requirements from the customers and assist in designing and presenting the proper solution that addresses their challenges. * Be able to recognize and drive business opportunities to closure through consultative selling methods. * Support product evaluations and proof of concepts working with prospective customers and partners to ensure success. * Assess the needs and uncover requirements for CloudPassage solutions to pass along to the product management team. Be the customer advocate to drive product enhancements and product roadmap. * Be able to articulate Halo’s value and perform product demos to technical and non-technical audience. * Develop technical sales collateral (consistent with Marketing) such as presentations, demos FAQs, product collateral etc. * Assist in the product training aspects of new sales rep onboarding.
Ideal Candidate
* Demonstrate a solid domain experience in security operations at the enterprise level. * Strong working knowledge with traditional security technologies such as: firewall, multi-factor authentication, vulnerability scanning, and host-based intrusion detection. * Demonstrable understanding of security compliance regulations and procedures for PCI, HIPAA, and others. * Experience working with public IaaS services such as Amazon EC2, Rackspace, and others. * Familiar with modern cloud operations and tools, such as RightScale, Chef, Puppet, etc. * Technically fluent with Windows and Linux OS security and administration, including scripting and integration using tools: Ruby, Python, bash, Windows Powershell. * Programming experience highly preferred. * 5 or more years of relevant experience assisting in selling disruptive technology into an emerging market. * Strong understanding of the sales cycle and have experience in consultative selling. * Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent soft skills to listen, communicate and interact with prospects, customers and key audience at all levels. * Proficient in problem solving, sharing product knowledge, selling to customer needs and interpreting software requirements. * Strong presentation skills and confidence to challenge conventional ways of approaching security. * Self-starter with a proven track record of success. * Results oriented and demonstrate an ability to learn and stay current on new technologies. * Mission-focused, highly team-oriented, have leadership skills and are able to help us build a strong technical sales team. * Four-year college degree from an accredited institution or commensurate experience and skills.
