Senior Financial Analyst

The Australian government develops the Allied Materials Handling Standing Committee to provide efficient handling of defence supplies during World War II.

Position Purpose

• The Sr. Sales Finance Pricing Analyst will support the Sales Organization in all aspects of pricing proposals while identifying revenue growth and profitability opportunities by using well-developed finance skills
• Utilize ROCI Model (Return on Capital Invested) to appropriately structure pricing proposals while working cross functionally to ensure cost modelling accuracy for proposals
• Lead the quarterly update and development process for the Pricing Models
• Recommend business solutions to win proposed customer deals
• Prepare ad-hoc management analyses and financial models

Major/Key Accountabilities

• Partner with the Sales Team to develop pricing that meets the customer’s needs and remains profitable for CHEP
• Interface with all levels of management (including CFO and SVP of Sales) to articulate proposal specifics and obtain approval
• Analyze complex data sets and customer supply chains to ensure all aspects of a proposal are considered and evaluated
• Work cross-functionally to obtain and interpret data needed for quarterly model updates
• Provide detailed analysis and recommendations for changes to the pricing models
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve operational and financial processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (Required)
• MBA preferred

Experience

• 3 - 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
• Pricing and Sales Revenue specific experience a plus
• Excellent problem solving and quantitative analysis skills
• In depth experience with financial models
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with array formulas (VBA and macros preferred)
• Proactive; highly motivated; champion of issues
• Ability to develop and understand complicated financial analyses
• Strong communication and presentation skills
