Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Work directly with CEO and COO in all financial and administrative matters related to day-to-day and long-term management of fast-growing business services firm
  • Supervise accounting and administrative support staff
  • Oversee and perform G/L accounting, financial reporting, and cash management to ensure timely effective management of the corporation and subsidiary
  • Oversee Accounts Payable functions, determine cost allocations and manage/approve payments
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable functions, review all invoices before they are sent out
  • Track and reconcile weekly and monthly sales
  • Track fixed assets
  • Reconcile monthly commission payments to employees for month-end payroll, calculate bonuses for all sales people (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Review payroll information for all employees to ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Oversee vacation and sick time accruals for all employees
  • Create and maintain annual budget and forecast, provide period variance analysis
  • Create and maintain accounting schedules, including amortization and depreciation
  • Post month-end and year-end journal entries
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for monthly and quarterly meetings
  • Create productivity reports and sales goal reports related to monthly operational performances for each region
  • Participate in management meetings to advise sales management on financial performance of regions and financial trends
  • Maintain and update chart of accounts and vendor files, including yearly W-9 updates
  • Prepare work papers for the CPA firm, coordinate annual review and tax return preparation for Corporations and LLC, and handle all correspondence with tax agencies (local, state, federal)
  • Respond to various inquiries from management, employees, clients, vendors, bank, CPA firm, etc. and act as liaison with various program administrators and vendors
  • Maintain existing policies and implement new policies and procedures to better manage additional work load and staff
Ideal Candidate

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Public accounting experience and/or private industry accounting management experience preferred
  • Prior experience working directly with management or sales personnel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas and make recommendations

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of experience, with a strong knowledge of accounting; CPA a plus
