This job will involve working with a number of open source projects and products and other cloud infrastructure software. This position offers a great opportunity to make a big impact at NaviHealth. This team is at the heart of development here, and your work will affect the daily lives of all of our developers. You are a great software engineer that loves Javascript (browser-based and Node.js) and has a talent for working with client side UI elements (html, css, bootstrap, etc..). This is a full-stack position, and as such, we are also looking for this person to help develop and mature the entire product pipeline from provisioning to deployment.
You are passionate about writing elegant, high-quality and maintainable code. You will review and critique and provide constructive feedback about other's code. You are also good at receiving constructive feedback in code reviews and acting on them appropriately. You are able to work with your Technical Lead to understand and make the right technical trade-offs.
- Write and maintain JavaScript for an internal Node.js server-side application
- Write and maintain JavaScript, HTML(templates), and CSS for an internal client-side application
- Help maintain and improve a CI (Jenkins)
- Work with various teams to create and design consistent/usable UI concepts
- Work with various teams to design and document REST API's
- Write and maintain automation-tests
- Participate in code reviews, peer program, and group discussions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
- 3+ years professional development experience, with a focus on full-stack javascript development
- 2+ years professional JavaScript experience, particularly with Node.JS
- 2+ years professional UI (HTML, CSS, Client Side Library) experience
- MongoDB experience preferred
- A general understanding of API design (REST w/JSON preferred)
- A general understanding of web application security principals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, and a positive spirit
