Canvs is the industry standard for emotion analytics. The company provides an emotion analytics platform used by TV networks, brands, agencies and media companies. Built using social media listening research from MSI Young Marketing Scholar, Professor Sam Hui, Ph.D., Canvs provides a real-time and time-shifted understanding of how content emotionally resonates with viewers across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

Summary

Canvs is seeking a passionate individual with a desire to own the business opportunities of a hyper growth SaaS company. The Sales Representative works directly with the Chief Strategy Officer. He or she will focus on all types of opportunities, including new business and emerging partnerships. The ideal candidate has a history of success interacting with and presenting to prospective and current clients, and has the ability to think on their feet. At the same time, this individual will be detail-oriented and diligent in their support of the sales and marketing efforts of the company. Our company is rooted in social TV, but our product is applicable to many more types of businesses. It is up to the Sales Representative to translate that vision to our prospects and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Demo our product with gusto to prospective clients and follow up accordingly
  • Generate and foster relevant leads in the entertainment space
  • Attend industry-relevant events and conferences where our target audience lives
  • Present our product to potential customers
  • Participation and related correspondence for Canvs sales pitches
  • Work closely with sales & marketing team to generate powerful collateral and related marketing materials.
  • Work closely with product team to translate feature requests from prospects and clients into actionable product developments
  • Salesforce software maintenance, upkeep, and related reporting to the company’s C-suite
  • Manage the creation, distribution, and warehousing of client and prospect paperwork
  • Assistance in developing downstream (post series A) sales team strategy and organization
Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Experience with salesforce is a plus
  • 3-4 years experience in a sales role at a software-driven company
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations
  • Experience working with cross-functional business leaders to achieve difficult objectives
  • Ability to work independently
  • Have a creative and entrepreneurial approach to tasks and responsibilities
  • Willingness for business travel when needed
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • B2B sales experience
  • Experience in software or media industries
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Relationships with media and tech executives
  • Previous experience working at a startup
