Responsibilities
* Defines, designs, and develops new communication systems and integration requirements. * Assesses architecture and current hardware limitations, defines and designs complex system specifications and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. * Analyzes and resolves difficult and complicated satellite and terrestrial RF communications compatibility design deficiencies. * Coordinates design of communication systems interfaces and integration of total system for the customer utilizing GFE. * Coordinates and consolidates design efforts. * Conducts independent technical investigations of system design. * Leads others, but no supervisory responsibilities. * Identifies telecommunications system/network/ Audio/Video (AV) hardware and software technical performance requirements and standards for current and proposed programs. * Conducts studies and evaluations of computerized and computer assisted models, databases and analytical systems * Provides system engineering support for Authorization and Accrediation (A&A)/Information Assurance (IA) activities
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications:** * Typically requires bachelor’s degree and seven to nine years of related experience. **Degree Requirements:** * BS / MS in electrical engineering, computer science or equivelent professional experience. **Relevant Experience (amount and type):** * 12 years demonstrated experience as a system engineer supporting DoD military command and control communications in a system design and integration capacity. Must have a current TS/SCI clearance **Desired Qualifications:** * MS in Electrical Engineering. * 8 years C2 system design and integration experience with 5 years experience in US Military mobile environments. * 12 Years A/V design and implementation experience, Crestron A/V Certification a plus.
