Application Delivery Lead Senior

This position collaborates and partners with business stakeholders, project managers, vendors and internal IT peers in delivering and maintaining technology solutions. The roles supported by this job description include application development, application ownership, and business capability leadership.

Core

• Contributes to and approves the strategy for delivery of applications within multiple capabilities.
• Manages applicable vendor resources and vendor relationships to ensure strong vendor performance and continuous improvement.
• Escalates issues and recommends courses of action when appropriate.
• Mentors less experienced employees to ensure that capability and technical expertise for internal resources are adequate to support business needs.

IS Owner

• Delivers projects with regard to scope, time, and budget.
• Ensures the appropriate resources are assigned to projects to complete development activities including both employees and vendor partner resources.
• Reviews and approves project deliverables and change requests.
• Represents project delivery team at project review meetings with leadership.

Application Owner

• Ensures understanding of relevant stakeholder’s strategies, goals, processes and future plans relating to an application portfolio so that maximum business value is obtained from the applications given the resources available.
• Assists with establishment of overall system SLA’s and ensures that portfolio SLA’s are met and support costs are minimized
• Leads successful delivery of enhancement related release work from estimation to commitment and through implementation
• Leverages project delivery and the portfolio optimization process to ensure that relevant portfolio metrics continuously improve and overall support goals are met.

Capability Lead

• Determines feasibility and sizing of projects within multiple business capabilities as part of the project intake process.
• Ensures project and support initiatives are both successful when faced with conflicting goals by finding common ground and facilitating development and testing collisions within the capabilities.
• Manages a subject matter expert strategy within one or more capabilities to ensure depth of coverage of the applications and business areas represented by the capability.
• Manages capability metrics and scorecard reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field followed by 5 years of experience in multiple IT capabilities/technologies.

• Experience may have been gained concurrently and must include:

  • 5 years of experience in J2EE application development platform (including JSP, Servlets, Struts, Hibernate, Ejb, Junit, and RAD), JQuery, and JavaScript.

  • 5 years of experience with Web Services (including JAX-RPC, JAX-WS, JAXB, REST/XML-over-HTTP, SOAP, WSDL), and working with WebLogic & WebSphere.

  • 4 years of technical experience with the Tibco Staffware, Oracle Insystems, and Product Configurator application using the “Cytera“ framework.

  • 4 years of experience working with HIPAA and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) medical transactions.

  • 2 years of experience in working with off-shore vendor partners.

  • Advanced business and technical knowledge of Xpertdoc Customer Communication Management and Microsoft Dynamic (CRM) Customer Relation Management Platforms.
