We’re looking for a web developer who can help us build and deploy truly great sites that are on the cutting edge of web design and modern web technologies. As a Web Developer at Asana, you will be a fast executor and meticulous about code quality and best practices around performance and security. You will develop and maintain our static web properties, proactively improving and iterating on them each day.
- Significant front-end web development with Wordpress and a flat-file PHP-based CMS, Statamic using HTML5/CSS3, Less or Sass, Javascript and jQuery, NPM/Gulp, Git, for IE10+ and modern browsers
- Implement ambitious designs in a way that is clean, elegant, and maintainable
- Coding webpages, HTML emails, and more, balancing competing priorities such as: SEO & meta tags, content editing, responsive layouts, file and image optimization, analytics & A/B testing, and UX
- Working closely with many teams, primarily Marketing
- 1-3 years of professional web development experience
- Exposure to at least one web services stack (preferably a LAMP stack)
- Passion for creating and maintaining beautiful and functional websites
- Proactive about organization and documentation
- Service-minded communication skills with members of other teams
- Appreciation of our Asana company values
- Preference for simple, sturdy solutions over novel or complex ones
Nice-To-Haves
- Strong design sense
- Expertise developing, monitoring, and maintaining high performance, high traffic websites - including caching/CDN usage, pageload optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and progressive rendering
- Experience with Google Analytics
- Marketing experience and/or instincts
- Interest or experience in development tooling and scripting (Python)
