Summary
Bakers are responsible for the final forming of the units to product specifications and slicing product tops to specification. Aligning product exiting the oven on to the cooling conveyor. Monitoring the quality of the product on the Proofer plates and exiting the oven. Bakers are to maintain the sanitary conditions of the Proofer and oven areas to meet safety and GMP’s standards.
Responsibilities
* Assure the final forming of the product to specifications. Slice tops to product specifications. * Monitor the units on the Proofer plates to ensure they are meeting quality specifications. * Align product on Proofer plates for efficiency as they travel to the oven. * Align units exiting the oven onto the cooling conveyor for maximum cooling. * Perform general sanitation cleanup of Proofer workstation and oven areas. * Assure cutting blades are sharp for cutting product and are disposed of properly. * Assist Oven Operator to maintain process control of the Proof Box and Oven. * Awareness of Lockout/Tagout procedures and adhere to GMP’s policies. * Additional tasks may be assigned as needed. * Works to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture. Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** Spanish and/or English literacy - elementary level. **Experience / Work Environment / Physical Requirements:** * Ability to work consistently at the standards processing pace for performing job functions. * Ability to comprehend verbal instructions and directions to perform job tasks. Ability to stand for extended period of time. Manual dexterity/use of hands to fingers. Ability to reach with arms and hands. Lift and dump approximately ten pounds of dough waste when necessary. Ability to work in an enclosed environment. Ability to work in harmony with peers. Quality and safety conscious in executing job functions.

Typical Work Schedule: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Sunday thru Saturday (Days off TBD)
